Setting unrealistic expectations undermines respect by overstimating ability

Not understanding boundaries can lead to overwork, which is a form of not understanding one’s value. In trying to gain value by saying yes to everything, may in fact harm trust and increase the negative feeling. The overestimation leads to rushed, reduced quality; failure to deliver at all; and burnout. Failure to manage stakeholder expectations harms their mental state.rM4
