Moral granstanding is an unfaithful pursuit of status.
Also known as “virtue signaliing”, this behavior broadcasts in word or action just how moral someone is (wants to appear, at any rate). It’s the use of speech of morality or self-promotion. It pursues status through prestige or dominance.rM5
