Address archetypes that harm psychological safety.

  • Brilliant jerk needs their behavior rejected publicly as it arises—but only when it harms the group as a whole. Must not come off as picking on them.
  • Noncommunication has an underlying cause to discover. Is there a culture issue, lack of psychological safety, or personality conflicts? May need a move if a better correction cannot be found.
  • Disrespectful members need to compare their expectations with the organization’s and think on why they are here. They may need to find a more aligned team or company if expectations can’t be realigned.
