Risky goals command attention better.
A risky goal should make one uncomfortable, but not so far as to be delusional in nature. A boring goal that is easy to attain will not always be motivating enough to pay attention to, but a goal solidly outside of the comfort zone will command more attention through the discomfort and risk of failure. This is important to meaningful changes too, as few great things happen within comfort zones.rM2
