Constraints add value in knowledge work by defining areas of focus.

There is a countable infinity outside of an area, but there is an uncountable infinity inside of any defined area. As such, constraints create value by separating the unncessary external infinity from the inward-driving infinity of a specific space. With boundaries algined to a purpose, rich exploration can take place without worrying about deviating from purpose. This helps in the writing process.
