Groups may need help engaging conflict if there’s a preference for artificial harmony.

Some actions that help include:

  • Where disagreements arise, pause them and explicitly lean into them as healthy and helpful activities.
  • When deciding and committing, assume silence is disagreement.
  • Require participants to state their understanding of a decision and commit explicitly to executing their part.
