Liminal thinking exercises continued.

  • Defenses: What beliefs do you hold with others and how are they defended? Diagram a core belief and its self-sealing logic defense system.
  • Identity: List governing and core beliefs. Explain the concept to a friend and ask them to do the same for you. Compare results.
  • Objective: Assess self against a traits list, have a few others do the same. Plot to a Johari window. Anything not selected is a potential unknown.
  • Possibility: Discard preconceived notions and listen to someone deeply for 20 minutes. Use all senses, monitor feelings and reactions.
  • Safe space: Find a recent conflict and apply SCARF.
