Gratitude, recognition, increased responsibility, and other forms of sincere appreciation are powerful motivators. Direct, personal feedback is a top motivator. Compensation is a weak motivator—merely hygienic and should be at an acceptable level as a baseline.rL1 Appreciation gives a role purpose which is a core motivator.
